Details for Batch 1 – Starts 18-Aug-2024
Time Commitment:
It may be noted that while there is considerable time and resource investment from our end, the course is being offered as a gift to the participants. However, we would require commitment from each participant (and parent) to attend all the mandatory sessions. A tentative session plan is shared below:
Session 1: 18-Aug
Session 2: 1-Sep Session 3: 22-Sep
Session 4: 6-Oct Session 5: 20-Oct
Session 6: 10-Nov Session 7: 24-Nov
Session 8: 8-Dec
Batch Size:
For the benefit of the participants, the course intake will be limited to 30 participants per batch. Organizers reserve the right to select the best diversity mix for the course while keeping other candidates in wait list for current or future batches.
Methodology:
The course follows a mixed learning methodology including videos, stories, activities, experiential project based learning, group and peer learning, meetings, exploration, nature walks, reflection and sharing. The sessions have been kept flexible to integrate the needs of the learners
Fees & Charges: No Charges. This course for the first batch is offered as a gift in collaboration with Nisaragopachar Kendra, Vadodara
Venue: The venue for this nature education series will be the green environs of Vinoba Ashram, Gotri, Vadodara
Certificates:
Certificates will be awarded to participants who participate in at least 6 out of 8 sessions and who design a small sustainability project
Apply: If you have read the details and can commit time for this course, do apply. Children are encouraged to apply on their own. However, we urge that parents/guardians sit with children while they apply. A maximum of 2 children from one family can participate in a batch at a time. Last date to apply is 05-Aug-2024. Apply early as there are limited seats.
