Community Supported Press project

Rootsnews is a community supported press (CSP) project of Paper Ball Educational Innovation, a non-profit organisation working in the area of education, climate change and sustainable development.

Rootsnews aims to strengthen news ecosystem by practicing slow and solutions journalism. We wish to utilise media and story telling as tools for transformation. We felt problem-focused news reporting is missing a very important part of community; its response to the problem. At Rootsnews we aim to document stories of communities with the tools of solutions journalism.

We are building this project with an aim to empower citizen by providing them accurate and fact-based storytelling. We are not-for-profit and we believe in the power of community. Our core strength is inclusive collaboration with individuals and newsrooms.
