Amit Arora

Amit is a non-conformist and a believer in multipotentiality. Over the course of his professional life, he has learnt and moved on to relatively more riskier (read less financially rewarding) work propositions in the search of something more purposeful and worthwhile.  As of now, he calls himself a social sector consultant undertaking impact assessment and evaluation as well helping the corporates design their CSR projects geared towards achieving their objectives as well as larger developmental goals. He has a high degree of interest in education and environment and offers workshops on environmental sustainability and climate action. Earlier in 2015, he also co-founded an organization working on managing wet waste, but wound it up due to organization’s financial “non-sustainability”.

He has been a Teach for India fellow and many times thinks of his life in pre and post TFI terms. Though that changed post-Covid 🙂

At Paper Ball, his focus is on designing and developing it as a platform that allows different pursuits working towards the goal of environmental sustainability to incubate and flourish.  He believes that environmental sustainability will not be technology driven but people driven and hence it shall be for each person to take the responsibility and ownership of their lifestyle.

Since 2019, Amit prefers riding a bicycle for intra-city work related travel and looks forward to saving many tonnes of CO2 not just through his cycling but also through the minimalistic lifestyle that he is progressively moving to.
