Earth Day 2024

This Earth Day 2024, we are announcing the soft launch of our two new projects to bring the community together. The first called "It's Elementary" is conceived as a knowledge community offering workshops, wisdom, exhibitions, documentaries; all aimed at increasing awareness and empowering us towards action. The second is the launch of the Repair Community Vadodara (RE:Community). This is conceived as a monthly coming together of repair enthusiasts with the three-fold objective of longevity, creativity and community.

It’s Earth Day again!!  An annual reminder to safeguard our planet from environmental degradation for the sake of our own collective future.

At Paper Ball Educational Innovation, since sustainability is at the core, one-day events just do not cut the ice. We take this opportunity to renew our commitment to environmental sustainability and announce the launch of two new sustainable projects – beginning from May 2024.

RE:Community – Vadodara (Making Repairing Fashionable) – Launching the first of these repair communities in Vadodara.  With the three-fold objective of longevity, creativity and community, it’s a community that comes together in the spirit of fixing things. Relive the joy of restoration, of repairing, and of upcycling with the community for whom fixing things is the source of deep satisfaction.  This is a project which is very close to our heart and which has been in the making for some months now.  The idea is to move further towards the circular economy by rediscovering the culture of restoring and repairing and moving away from the linear consumption model.

It’s Elementary (Knowledge Community) – A monthly face-to-face knowledge series that will focus on raising awareness and encouraging action by sharing small ideas about the role that each one of us can play positively with respect to the challenges that we and our planet is facing.  The knowledge series is planned to evolve over time and will include sustainability workshops, interactive discussions, photograph exhibition, sharing collective wisdom and actions to improve our sustainability quotient, documentary screenings and interviewing people who are being the change.

We look forward to seeing you as a part of these projects with the aim of building a movement that works towards improving our environmental sustainability.
